Annie was born in 1923.  Annie's father was Jacob Ivey Jr and her mother was Minnie Bell Phillips (Ivey).  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Ivey and Caroline Bush (Ivey). She had a brother and four sisters, named Ezra, Elise, Flossie, Jakie and Abby.  She was the second youngest of the six children. She had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Marian, Maldy, John, Van, Cynthia and Arney.
