Mahala Heffington

Mahala was born in 1826 in AR. Mahala's father was Thomas David Heffington and her mother was Katherine Susannah Smith (Heffington). Her paternal grandparents were David Heffington and Dorothy Lowe. She had six brothers and three sisters, named William, Elisha, Elihu, Stephan, Barney, Leroy, Martha, Lucinda and Sarah. She was the oldest of the ten children.
