James Heffington

James was born in 1824 in Lauderdale AL. James' father was David Heffington and his mother was Dorothy Lowe. His paternal grandfather was Thomas Heffington; his maternal grandfather was William Lowe and his maternal grandmother is Margaret Farr. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named William, Thomas, Barnabus, Henry, Stephen, Isaac, Joseph, John, Margaret, Nancy, Agnes, Mary and Levina. He was the youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 55 in 1879.
