Henry was born in 1808 in Warren KY.  Henry's father was David Heffington and his mother was Dorothy Lowe.  His paternal grandfather was Thomas Heffington; his maternal grandfather was William Lowe and his maternal grandmother is Margaret Farr. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named William, Thomas, Barnabus, Stephen, Isaac, Joseph, John, James, Margaret, Nancy, Agnes, Mary and Levina.  He was the fifth oldest of the fourteen children.  He died in AR.
