Nellie was born on November 6th, 1887 in Culberson Co TX.  Nellie's father was Augustus Sanders Goynes and her mother was Ellen Elizabeth McMurray (Goynes).  Her maternal grandparents were William McMurray and Bridget Elizabeth Fox (McMurray). She had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Peter, William, Daniel, Lee, Margaret, Dot, Viola and Nettie.  She was the third youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 21 on May 6th, 1909.
