Alberta, known as Bertie, was born on September 25th, 1900 in Live Oak Co Texas.  Bertie's father was Augustus (Gus) Peter Goynes and her mother was Dorothy (Dot) Goynes.  Her paternal grandparents were William Goynes and Mary Agusta Dolan; her maternal grandparents were Augustus Sanders Goynes and Ellen Elizabeth McMurray (Goynes). She had two brothers named Ervin and Augustus.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 80 on December 8th, 1980 in Scroggins TX.
