Margaret was born in 1869.  Margaret's father was Thomas Gallagher and her mother was Mary Ann Sheeran (Nichols).  Her maternal grandparents were James Sheeran and Polly Mary Fox (Sheeran). She had three brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, Owen and Mary. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Isaac, Isiah and Mary.
