Peter was born in 1846 in Leitrim Co. Ireland.  Peter's father was James Dolan and his mother was Mary (Nellie) Ellen Fox (Dolan).  His maternal grandparents were Michael Fox and Mary McGloin. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Michael, Jim, Patrick, Thomas, John, Margaret and Mary.  He was the youngest of the eight children.  He died in 1846 in Leitrim Co. Ireland.
