Michael was born on May 8th, 1830 in Leitrim Co. Ireland.  Michael's father was James Dolan and his mother was Mary (Nellie) Ellen Fox (Dolan).  His maternal grandparents were Michael Fox and Mary McGloin. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Jim, Patrick, Thomas, John, Peter, Margaret and Mary.  He was the oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 84 on April 5th, 1915 in Texas.
