Jasper was born on April 10th, 1895.  Jasper's father was James Henderson Beene and his mother was Sally Thomas Ivey.  His maternal grandparents were William Thomas Ivey and Sarah Ellen Davis (Ivey). He had five brothers and two sisters, named Barney, Willie, James, Homer, Floyd, Pearle and Connie.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 83 in November 1978 in San Angelo, TX.
