Διαμαντούλα was born on June 23rd, 1939.  Διαμαντούλα's father was Νικόλαος Αθανασίου Αρβανιτάκης and her mother was Ευαγγελία Μαυροϊδή Παπαευθυμίου.  Her paternal grandparents are Αθανάσιος Νικολάου Αρβανιτάκης and Αθανασία; her maternal grandparents are Μαυροϊδής Παπαευθυμίου and Αλεξάνδρα. She had a brother and two sisters, named Αθανάσιος, Αθανασία and Αλεξάνδρα.  She is the oldest of the four children.
