Αθανασία(Σούλα) was born on March 15th, 1952.  Αθανασία(Σούλα)'s father was Γεώργιος  Αθανασίου Γκαρλαούνης and her mother was Ιωάννα Κεσίδου .  Her paternal grandparents are Αθανάσιος Κυριάκου Γκαρλαούνης and Ασημούλα Τριανταφύλου(ΑμούριΛαμίας). She has two sisters named Ασημούλα and Ειρήνη (Νίνα).  She is the oldest of the three children.
