William Lindsay & Nancy Stewart Family

William and Nancy were married.

They had five sons and two daughters, named Joseph, John, William, Samuel, Robert , Mary and Elizabeth. The family line is yet to be completed.

William was born on July 28th, 1832 in Ballyeaston, Co. Antrim, No. Ireland. He died at the age of 77 on April 25th, 1910 in Chester, Chester Co., South Carolina.¹

Nancy Stewart
Nancy was born on September 30th, 1837 in Killymuck Glebe, Tamlaght O'Crilly Parish, Co. Londonderry, Ireland and her baptism took place on February 21st, 1838 in 1st Kilrea Presbyterian Church, Kilrea Pa. conducted by Rev. Hugh Walker Rodgers.²

- Immigration in So.Carolina and lived with her Uncle John McCaughrin where she was married to William Lindsay.
  
  The Session Record of 1st Kilrea on February 4, 1838 (a few days before the baptism) records:
  "Jno. Stewart Killymuck begs baptism for his infant child. Objection taken against him on grounds of irregular attendance on ordnances and arrears of stipend till due by him. He states to? more faithfulness in his religious calling - promising compliance and espouses a fervent desire for more discipleship. Formally spoken by Elder of district - privileges conceded - Clear of stipend till May 1837." He was cleared of stipends as far as the previous May.

She died at the age of 75 on October 1st, 1912 in Chester Co., South Carolina. Her burial was on October 3rd, 1912 in Chester, SC.

Joseph Lindsay
Joseph was born on July 23rd, 1862 in John McCaughrin's home, Chester, SC. He died at the age of 92 on December 11th, 1954 in Chester, SC.³

John Stewart Lindsay
John was born on July 24th, 1866 in Augusta, George.⁴ He died at the age of 73 on June 6th, 1940 in Camden, SC.

Mary Stewart Lindsay
Mary was born on August 10th, 1868 in Augusta, Georgia.⁴ She died at the age of 83 on June 22nd, 1952.

William Barclay Lindsay
William was born on November 21st, 1871 in Chester, SC. He died at the age of 77 on September 9th, 1949 in Charlotte NC.

Samuel Lindsay
Samuel was born on September 20th, 1873 in Chester, SC. He died at the age of 67 on December 30th, 1940 in Fairfield, SC.

Robert James Lindsay
Robert was born on April 20th, 1875 in Chester, SC. He died at the age of 78 on January 12th, 1954 in Chester, SC.

Elizabeth Fulton Lindsay
Elizabeth was born on August 24th, 1877 in Chester, SC. She died at the age of 90 on June 4th, 1968 in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC.
