On Monday 8th May 1843, on page 127 of the Vestry Minutes for Taughboyne Parish Church, "John Lowry" is described as "the Guardian of the Feddyglass Division", whose aid is being solicited to have an 8 year old boy, James Park, admitted to the Strabane Unuin Worrkhouse". This is less than three months before his death, suggesting that perhaps he died suddenly.

Raphoe, Raphoe Pa., Co. Donegal, Ireland.
- Death Notes
- We have found a death record for an Alexander Lowry, Sept 25, 1873 of Raphoe, Raphoe Parish. Present at Death was Thomas Hayes. This is the Alexander Lowry who is Sarah Lowry Hayes' father. It is not clear if this is my Alexander Lowry. According to the GVRB's of 1861-76 he was living in Feddyglass.
130105: Death entry shows Alexander Lowry, widower, aged 84, labourer of Raphoe, died of "Old Age" after 3 months, PAD being Thomas Hayes. This would seem to make Sarah Lowry Hayes his daughter. Did she return from America to look after him as she was in Philly in the 1860 census, and did she then marry Thomas Hayes of Raphoe? Number 6 Irish Row, where he died if it is him, is hard to find because the houses are not numbered.
No death notice found in Derry Standard.
