Samuel Perry Stewart

Samuel was born on June 6th, 1872 in Gortin Coolhill, Aghadowey Pa., Co. Londonderry, Ireland and his baptism took place on August 4th, 1872 in Moneydig Presbyterian Church.¹ Samuel's father was Hugh Stewart and his mother was Jane Hogg. His paternal grandparents were John Stewart and Sarah Craig; his maternal grandparents were Rankin Hogg and Elizabeth Perry. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Hugh, Henry, Kennedy, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary, Isabella and Martha. He was the youngest of the eleven known children.
