Mary Ann Stewart

Mary was born on March 26th, 1842 in 2nd Kilrea Presbyterian Church and her baptism took place there on January 7th, 1847.¹ Mary's father was Hugh Stewart and her mother was Elizabeth "Betty" Taggart. Her paternal grandparents were James Stewart and Catherine Stewart; her maternal grandparents were James Taggart and Barbara Irwin. She had five brothers and two sisters, named James?, Hugh, Archibald, John, Henry, Catherine and Elizabeth. She was the sixth oldest of the eight known children.
