John Stewart

John was born about 1855 in Gorton Coolhill, Aghadowey Parish, Co. Londonderry, Ireland. John's father was Thomas Stewart and his mother was Mary Jane (Jenny) Johnston. His paternal grandparents were John Stewart and Sarah Craig. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Henry, Hugh, Mary, Elizabeth, Isabella and Martha. He was the oldest of the seven known children.

- 1899 Valuation Vol 3. Case No. 8 John Stewart, Carnroe,24 -2-28 Acres, GV- land and buildings- 14.5.0/ old rent 15.6 and first Judicial Rent 14.0.0 fixed in 1882. Tenancy sold in 1886 for 205 and no of yrs purchase of the rent- 14. Govt valuation of bldgs 10 shillings.
