Henry Taggart Stewart

Henry was born on August 6th, 1846 in Kilrea, Kilrea Pa., Co. Londonderry, Ireland and his baptism took place on March 6th, 1847 in 2nd Kilrea Presbyterian Church.¹ Henry's father was Hugh Stewart and his mother was Elizabeth "Betty" Taggart. His paternal grandparents were James Stewart and Catherine Stewart; his maternal grandparents were James Taggart and Barbara Irwin. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James?, Hugh, Archibald, John, Catherine, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eight known children.
