Henry Finlay Stewart

Henry was born on May 26th, 1857 in Gortin Coolhill, Aghadowey Parish, Co. Londonderry, Ireland and his baptism took place on July 5th, 1857 in Moneydig Presbyterian Church.¹ Henry's father was Hugh Stewart and his mother was Jane Hogg. His paternal grandparents were John Stewart and Sarah Craig; his maternal grandparents were Rankin Hogg and Elizabeth Perry. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Hugh, Kennedy, Samuel, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary, Isabella and Martha. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven known children. He died at the age of 94 in 1951 in Cheltenham, Victoria, Australia.
