CONSUL JAMES STEWART TO WED MRS. GODDARD
A wedding of more than unusual interest will take place Wednesday, October 6, at St. Mark's Episcopal church in Denver, Col., when Mrs. Brock Goddard will become the bride of Consul James B. Stewart of Chihuahua, Mexico. Mrs. Goddard is a talented musician and expert horsewoman, and Chihuahua society as well as the many friends of Consul Stewart in El Paso are looking forward to meeting her. A reception will be held at the home of the parents of the bride-to-be following the ceremony. The couple will leave for El Paso October 6, where they will spend aday at the Paso del Norte before leaving for Consul Stewart's post.--El Paso, Texas News, Sunday, October 3, 1920
CUPID FAILS TO KEEP UP PACE SET IN PAST MONTH
While the calendar so far does not indicate that October will rival September in Denver as a wedding month, numerous betrothals and marriages already announced show that Dan Cupid certainly has not retired for the winter. Two weddings last week, those of Gardner Jackson and Miss Dorothy Sachs and of Edward Knowles and Miss Helen Dorsey, were marked by unusual splendor. One of the foremost ones for this month in point of interest is that of Mrs. Harriotte Stearns Goddard of this city and James Stewart of Chihuahua, old Mexico, which will take place on next Wednesday.---Denver News, 1920.
