Mary was born on November 2nd, 1873 in Castlefinn, Co. Donegal, Ireland.1   Mary's father was William (Argrey) Smyth and her mother was Annie (Edymore 1869) Lowry.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel (Mullaghanny) Smyth and Mary; her maternal grandparents were Robert (Edymore 1858 & Cavanlee1879) Lowry and <Unknown>.  She had three brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, James, William, Robert and Kathleen Elizabeth Lowry.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 94 in December 1967.
