  • Source:  BB using Abercorn Papers - rental records of 1789-1833, the 1781 map and the 1835 map.
    There is a note in the Coolaghymore records of 1794-1810 which has no date on it but is signed by William Shaw promising to pay his mother 8 pounds yearly during her life in lieu of the allowance in? by? article? (can't read)...   So William Shaw's mother was still alive in this time period..... He was paying 17.6.8 twice a year for a portion of land in Coolaghymore. A John Shaw was doing likewise.
