Death Notes

Tuesday, Nov 14, 1826. At Pheddyglass very suddenly, on Saturday last, Mr. Isaac ORR, long respected merchant of this town, and most deservedly regretted by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance.---Strabane Morning Post
NB - Isaac appears to have died not long after his father or perhaps his father was still alive since the Abercorn lease book shows James Orr paying rent through 1833.

Tuesday, Nov 21, 1826. NOTICE - ALL Persons indebted to the late Mr. ISAAC ORR, are requested to discharge their accounts to Miss ORR, on or before the First of January next, otherwise they will be put into the hands of an Attorney. And all persons having claims or demands, are also requested to furnish their accounts, that the same may be put in a train of settlement. N. B. General Notes

Either Isaac Orr or James Orr is Anne Orr's father. Isaac Orr could be her brother. The land passes from James Orr to presumably, Isaac Orr, as he is paying tithe in 1826 and then to Miss Anne Orr.
LETTER
Strabane, 6th May 1807
James Orr, Pheddyglass, understanding Capt. Hamiltons been viewing Pheddyglass Wood, a few days back, was also informed Capt. Hamilton mentioned his intention was to stub out the little glen or Shrubbery adjoining the large wood, and having it converted into rented land; Should Capt Hamilton's intention be such, James Orr begs Capt. Hamilton will think of no other Tenant for it but him being immediately on his Farm and always since his and his Father's possession until it was last cut and enclosed and whatever Capt. Hamilton should value it to James Orr will be satisfyed to pay. Capt Hamilton will please remember his promis of same to him at the last general election at Lifford and also my Lord the Marquis promised it to him at Baronscourt 1805 should Capt Hamilton think fit. Strabane 6th May 1807.

Strabane 12th April 1824 - Selling at and under First Cost. Subscriber intends selling his Stock of Groceries, Pickles, Spices, Glass, Delph and China Ware, immediately, at and under First Cost, for Ready Money, being determined to quit that trade. He will also Dispose of, of Let, the House he at present occupies in Market-house Street, from the first of November next; and requests those who are indebted to him to settle their Accounts as soon as possible. ROBERT ORR - There is also a Robert Orr with land in Feddyglass bought from Devinny in about 1832. Robert Orr is also documented in the 1819 Taughboyne Vestry Minutes as being a guardian for the Feddyglass District replacing, Robert Finlay who resigned. Do not know how he is related.
