James McCaughrin

James was born about 1850 in Aghadowey Pa, Co. Londonderry.¹ James' father was Andrew McCaughrin and his mother was Mary Ann Smyth. His paternal grandparents were Andrew McCaughrin and Nancy Stewart. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John and Agnes. He was the second oldest of the four children.
