Jane was born in 1822 in Lismoyle, Tamlaght O'Crilly Pa., Co. Londonderry, Ireland.1   Jane's father was Robert McAleese and her mother was Mary Stewart.  She had two brothers and four sisters, named Stewart, Daniel, Margaret, Martha, Mary  and Elizabeth.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 63 on February 4th, 1885 in Lismoyle, Tamlaght O'Crilly Pa., Co. Londonderry, Ireland.  Her burial was in Boveedy Cemetery.2
