Sarah Lyttle

Sarah was born on July 8th, 1861 in Maghera, Co. Londonderry, Ireland and her baptism took place on July 21st, 1861 in Maghera Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Thomas Witherow.¹ Sarah's father was John Shiels (Maghera) Lyttle and her mother was Elizabeth Marshall Lowry. Her maternal grandparents were George Lowry and Sarah Lyttle. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named George, Robert, John, Jane, Elizabeth, Jane, Anna, Eleanor, Matilda and Mary. She was the third oldest of the eleven children.
