William Lowry

William was born in 1851 in Argrey, Ballindrait, Co. Donegal, Ireland.

William's father was Andrew (Mullaghanny & Argrey Hill) Lowry (Snr) and his mother was Annie (Stranolaghan) Liston. His paternal grandparents were James (Mullaghanny & Argrey) Lowry and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were William (Stranolaghan) Liston and <Unknown>. He had a half-brother named Andrew "Andy".

- Source: 1901 Census -age 50, farmer, living with him and his wife on this day is a niece Kathleen E. L. Smyth , age 9. Madge Alexander knows he is related to the Antiquarian, Andrew Lowry's family but not how. "The Smiths and the Lowrys all married in and out of each other." This couple had no children.
