John Lowry

John was born in 1858 in Drumcrow, Taughboyne Pa., Co. Donegal, Ireland and his baptism took place on February 1st, 1858 in Taughboyne Parish Church. John's father was Henry Alexander Lowry and his mother was Mary McFadden. His paternal grandparents were John Lowry and Elizabeth Hamilton. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Henry, James, Andrew, Alexander, George, Harriett and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
