Elizabeth Lowry

Elizabeth was born about December 1828 in Drumcrow, Taughboyne Parish, Co. Donegal, Ireland and her baptism took place on January 11th, 1829 in St. Eunans Cathedral, Raphoe, Co. Donegal, Ireland.¹

Elizabeth's father was Alexander Lowry and her mother was Sarah Stevenson. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Lowry and Margaret or Mary Rogers; her maternal grandparents were Andrew? Stevenson and Jane Colhoun. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Andrew , John, Alexander, Henry, Martha, Margaret and Sarah. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died in prob. Philadelphia, PA.

  *Union Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, Pa. Records: ["Miss Elizabeth Lowrey" admitted on Oct. 18, 1849 and an "Eliza Lowry" pays a pew rent from 1879-Oct. 17, 1887 according to the Pew Rents book. She paid for ¼ of pew #30 starting in July 1, 1882 (This is John Stewart's pew. He paid for the whole pew (in this record book) from July 1, 1872 to Jan 1, 1882. In 1882 it was split between Eliza Lowry(1/4), Robt. Cameron (1/4) and James Stewart (1/2)]. she doesn't appeared to have paid anything after the Oct. 17, 1887 payment of $8.00 for all of 1887.
