Eliza Jane was born about 1832 in Drumfad, Taughboyne Pa., Co. Donegal, Ireland and her baptism took place on January 20th, 1833 in Taughboyne Parish Church.  Eliza Jane's father was Hugh (Drumfad) Lowry and her mother was Catherine Warnock.  Her paternal grandparents were James (Drumfad) Lowry and <Unknown>.  She had three brothers and three sisters, named James, Alexander, Leighton, Anne, Catherine and Rebecca.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert, Hugh, Margaret and Martha.  She died in 1895.
