Catherine was born in 1838 in Drumfad, Taughboyne Pa., Co. Donegal, Ireland and her baptism took place on June 8th, 1838 in Taughboyne Parish Church.  Catherine's father was Hugh (Drumfad) Lowry and her mother was Catherine Warnock.  Her paternal grandparents were James (Drumfad) Lowry and <Unknown>.  She had three brothers and three sisters, named James, Alexander, Leighton, Eliza Jane, Anne and Rebecca.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert, Hugh, Margaret and Martha.  She died at the age of 90 on February 26th, 1928 in Drumfad, Taughboyne Pa., Co. Donegal, Ireland.  Her burial was in Raphoe Cathedral (St. Eunans Ch of I), Raphoe.
