Andrew was born about 1833 in St. Johnston, Taughboyne Pa., Co. Donegal.  Andrew's father was Gawn Lowry and his mother was Mary Wilkinson.  His paternal grandparents were Andrew (St. Johnston) Lowry and <Unknown>.  He had a brother named William.  He was the older of the two children.  He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named William John, David, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Anne and Eliza Ann.  He died on October 15th, 1891 in St. Johnston, Taughboyne Pa., Co. Donegal.1
