Alexander Hamilton Lowry

Alexander was born on January 7th, 1868 in Drumcrow, Taughboyne Pa., Co. Donegal, Ireland and his baptism took place on January 7th, 1868 in 1st Raphoe Presbyterian Church.¹

Alexander's father was Henry Alexander Lowry and his mother was Mary McFadden. His paternal grandparents were John Lowry and Elizabeth Hamilton. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Henry, John, James, Andrew, George, Harriett and Elizabeth. He was the seventh oldest of the eight children. He died at 2 months old on March 21st, 1868 in Drumcrow, Taughboyne Pa., Co. Donegal, Ireland.²

- The Hamilton middle name is important because it provides the link to John Lowry's wife AND maybe the link to John Hamilton Craig who owned the farm in Drumcrow in the 1901 census. Only the Baptism record gives his middle name as Hamilton.
