James Gordon

James was born in 1826 in Lislea, Kilrea Pa., Co. Londonderry, Ireland and his baptism took place on December 13th, 1826 in 1st Kilrea Presbyterian Church, Kilrea Pa..¹ James' father was William Gordon and his mother was Elizabeth Stewart. His maternal grandparents were James Stewart and Catherine Stewart. He had three brothers and a sister, named Hugh, Thomas, William and Catherine. He was the second oldest of the five children.
