Nancy was born about 1814 in Lismoyle, Tamlaght O'Crilly Pa., Co. Londonderry, Ireland.1   Nancy's father was Samuel Bolton and her mother was Martha Boyd.  She had three brothers and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Samuel, William, James, Elizabeth, Martha and <Unknown>.  She was the oldest of the seven known children.
