Lowrys of Drumcrow and Stewarts of Killymuck

<body> <p>This <b>genealogy report</b> is about <i>Lowrys of Drumcrow and Stewarts of Killymuck</i>. It contains 661 individuals and 184 families, and also 55 Pictures from the family tree. The Lowrys lived in the parish of Taughboyne, Co. Donegal.  Early Abercorn land records[1744-   ] and local church records show them living in the townlands of Drumcrow, Feddyglass, Drumfad, Binnion, Drummucklagh, Tullyrap, Woodland and Coolaghy.  Many were probably related. Today, descendants of these Lowry families are scattered in Australia, New Zealand and the United States. <br /><br />Stevenson, Colhoun, and Rogers are other names connected with my Lowry line beginning in Drumcrow in the 1600's.  Alexander Lowry, born about 1789, married Sarah Stevenson.  He appears to have been a younger son of John Lowry and Mary Rogers and, therefore, did not inherit the 129 plantation acres of Drumcrow but worked there and in other townlands as a labourer.  Several of his children emigrated to America, a couple stayed in Donegal and one may have returned to Donegal. <br /><br />The Stewarts lived in the townlands of  Killymuck, Killygullib and Gorton Coolhill in the Bann Valley of Co. Londonderry. McCaughrins,Craigs, Irwins, Cookes and Fultons are also connected with this family.  I have been trying to connect Boltons to it as my grandfather was named James Bolton Stewart and his father was a "cousin" of the Revd. J.
