Ela, Countess of Salisbury was born circa 1187.
She was the daughter of William FitzPatrick de Saresbury, 2nd Earl of Salisbury and Eleanor de Vitri.
She was also reported to have been born circa 1196.
She married William Longespée, 1st Earl of Salisbury, son of Henry II 'Curtmantle' d'Anjou, King of England and Ida de Tosny, circa 1196.
She died on 24 August 1261.
She gained the title of Countess of Salisbury, suo jure.
She was the Abbess at Lacock, Wiltshire, England.
