Thierry (The Brave) of Upper Lorraine II

Thierry, known as The Brave, was born in 1060 in Lorraine, France.¹ The Brave's father was Duke Gerard of Upper Lorraine and his mother was Hedwige de Namur. His maternal grandparents were Adalbert de Namur II and Regilinde de Lorraine. He had a brother and a sister, named Gerhard and Beatrix. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 55 on January 23rd, 1115 in Chatenois.²
