Artemia's father was Saint/Bishop Rusticius of Lyon and her mother was of Limoges. Her paternal grandparents were Aquilin of Lyon and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Bishop Ruricius of Limoges and Hiberie d'Auvergne. She was an only child. She died at the age of 21 in 0506.¹
