Robert was born in year 1040 in Estouteville-Ecales, Normandy.1 Robert's father was Robert de Stuteville and his mother was Jeanne de Talbot. His paternal grandparents were Roger de Verdun and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de Talbot and Marie de Meulan. He was an only child. He died, at the age of 67 years, in year 1107 in Cottingham, Humberside, England.1
