Beatrix was born in year 1161.1   Beatrix's father was Guiges d'Albon and her mother was Beatrix de Montferrat.  Her paternal grandparents were Guigues de Albon V and Marguerite; her maternal grandparents were  Guillaume de Montferrat VI and  Judith von Brandenburg.  She was an only child.  She died, at the age of 67 years, on December 15th, 1228.1
