Henry was born in year 0969.1   Henry's father was Duke Otto of Carinthia-Waiblingen II and his mother was Judith of Verdun.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Conrad (The Wise) of Lorraine II and Luitgard of Saxony; his maternal grandparents were  Count of Verdun Heinrich of Bavaria and  <Unknown>.  He was the oldest of two children.  He had a brother named Bruno.  He died, at the age of 28 years, on May 28th, 0997.1
