Beatrix was born in year 1020 in Swabia, Germany.1   Beatrix's father was Emperor Conrad (The Salian) of Saxony II and her mother was Gisela of Swabia.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Henry of Saxony and Adelaide of Alsace; her maternal grandparents were  Duke Herman of Swabia II and  Gerberga of Burgundy.  She was the youngest of three children.  She had two brothers named Bruno and The Black.  She had a half-brother named Ludwig.
