Elizabeth was born in year 1081.1   Elizabeth's father was Margrave of Austria Leopold (The Fair) von Brandenburg II and her mother was Judith.  Her paternal grandparents were Margrave Ernst (The Valiant) of Austria and Adelheid von Meissen; her maternal grandparents were  Guelph IV and  Judith.  She was the second of three children.  She had a brother and a sister, named The Saint and Adelheid.
