Bruno was born in year 0760.1   Bruno's father was Emperor Conrad (The Salian) of Saxony II and his mother was Gisela of Swabia.  His paternal grandparents were Count Henry of Saxony and Adelaide of Alsace; his maternal grandparents were  Duke Herman of Swabia II and  Gerberga of Burgundy.  He was the oldest of three children.  He had a brother and a sister, named The Black and Beatrix.  He had a half-brother named Ludwig.  He died, at the age of 53 years, in year 0813.1
