The Saint was born in year 1085 in Scotland.1   The Saint's father was Malcolm (Longneck) Caenmoe Dunkeld of Scotland III and his mother was Margaret Atheling of Scotland.  His paternal grandparents were Duncan (The Gracious) Alpin of Scots I and Sybil Biornsson; his maternal grandparents were  Edward (The Exile) of England and  Agatha von Braunschweig.  He was the sixth of eight children.  He had five brothers and two sisters, named Ethelred, Edgar, The Fierce, Edward, Edmund, Matilda and Mary.  He died, at the age of 68 years, on May 23rd, 1153 in Carlisle, Cumberland County, England.  His burial was in Dunfermline, Scotland.2 1

The Saint and Matilda were married in year 1113.2   They had a son named Henry.
