Geoffroy's father was Duke of Normandy Richard (San Peur, The Fearless) Normandy I. His paternal grandparents were Duke Guillaume I (Longue Epaee) Normandy and Sprote Adela de Senlis; his. He was the second of six children. He had a brother and four sisters, named William, Sprota, Muriella, Hawise and Pappia. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named The Good, Robert, Mauger, William, Hedwig, Emma, Matilda and Beatrice. He died, at the age of 62 years, in year 1015.¹
