Margrave, Count William Autun I

William was born in year 0751 in Languedoc, Toulouse, France.¹ William's father was Duke Thierry Autun and his mother was Aude Aldane Austrasia. His paternal grandparents were Duke of Provence Childebrand (De Heristal) Austrasia I and Rolande Merovingian; his maternal grandparents were Charles (Martel The Hammer) Austrasia and Swanhilde Carolingian. He was the oldest of two children. He had a sister named Redburga. He died, at the age of 61 years, on May 28th, 0812 in Gellone, Herault, France.²
