Reheut was born in year 0870.  Reheut's father was Charles II (the Bald) Roman and his mother was Richaut Metz.  His paternal grandparents were Emperor Louis I (The Pious) Roman and Judith Bavaria; his maternal grandparents were  Count of Autun and Metz Budwin de Autun & Metz and  Richilde Of Arles.  He was the oldest of two children.  He had a sister named Rothilde.  He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Louis II (The Stammerer), Judith, Rothildis, Hersent and Godehilde.
