Agatha was born in year 1168.  Agatha's father was William de Ferrers and her mother was Sybil de Braose.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert de Ferrers and Margaret Peverel; her maternal grandparents were  Sheriff of Hereford, Lord Bramber William de Braose II and  Bertha de Gloucester de Pitres.  She was the second of four children.  She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Isabel and Petronille.

Agatha's family with King of England John I (Lackland) Plantagenet

Lackland and Agatha were married in year 1188.1   They had a daughter named Joan.
